I find that I am anxious and depressed about leading worship tomorrow. Could it be that knowing no matter what I do people will evaluate it as crap (or at best, as a ‘funeral dirge’ meant only to irritate or depress them?)
Intelletually, I know this is
1) natural given Thursday night’s conversation;
2) a trap;
3) putting too much store in what others think verses how I know I’m doing.
Just being able to focus and identify on feelings doesn’t make them ‘go away’.
